Our homebase in Perugia established, we could now focus, each day, on taking scenic road trips into every corner of Umbria. Our first day trip took us over to the beautiful Lago di Trasimeno, beginning with hilltop Cortona (actually in Tuscany), then Castiglione del Lago and Passignano sul Trasimeno along the lakeshore.
