Merry Christmas to all of you, our two followers!
Just as this post comes early, we had a wonderful early Christmas celebration with Grandma and Grandpa the other day. All that so we could get an early start to our holiday time at the cabin! And, this morning, off we go!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rai is 44 Months Old!

Yesterday, Rai turned 44 months old! Midlife is now upon him and the big 5-0 draws ever nearer. Big changes recently seem to be the exponential growth of his imagination which seems to conjure up a new monster every single night. It's a good thing that Grandma and Grandpa keep stocking him with lots of heros to battle the creatures that haunt his nightmares.

Santa, Making the Rounds

Over the past few weeks, we've been lucky enough to see Santa at least five or six times. He was at the mall, he came to a neighborhood Christmas party we attended, he came to Galileo High School for our annual Holiday Assembly (see the video -- Ashe is in the middle in red and Maciej is the vocalist), and he even made a visit to Grandma and Grandpa's home last night for an early Christmas celebration. It's a good thing the boys haven't yet noticed that every time we see Santa, he looks just a little bit different...

Koey and Siri

For over a year, Ko spent his mornings with Siri, the daughter of a lady who helped take care of Ko, half time. Ko and Siri became extremely close, the best of friends. Now that Ko is at preschool with Rai, he and Siri do not get to see each other like they used to. The other day, Siri woke up saying, "I want to see Koey". So, a dinner was set up and Koey and Siri were reunited. It was great to see them together again.

Future Musician (of any Variety!)

Rai (and Ko more so, perhaps) loves music. They love music so much that it is likely that one or both of them will create music of some type in the coming years. Whether that's a guitar or some turntables, as long as they're creating, we're happy!

Every day, the boys and I are reminded in some way that there is no Mom like Ashe. How lucky we are.

10 Days to Christmas: Time to Decorate!

With the Christmas countdown nearly at single digits, it was about time that we get some Christmas lights and decorations in our home and no time is better than Saturday morning when we all have some energy, time, and sunlight! With about 9 strings of lights on our tiny deck, Rai is now confident that Santa will have no problem spotting our place. I guess that means we should go buy a present or two.

 

 

 

 

Kotaru is 26 Months Old!

This week, Kotaru turned 26 months old! Unfortunately, he eats like a 26 year old. Our bank account has seen better days. I guess this means that we're in for a good growth spurt in the months to come! Nice!

 

Math Babies Update

All the Math Department babies got together once again at this year's math Christmas party. At the party, we were reminded just how small our babies once were as the most recent addition to the group made her first appearance. Math babies, they do keep multiplying! Back at home, Rai and Ko enjoy their latest toy, a mechanized marble chute which will (if all goes according to plan) be the latest stepping stone on their journey to math greatness!
