Nearing the year anniversary of Russia's most recent invasion of Ukraine, I wanted to share some photos that I've been collecting over this past year. These photos demonstrate the way so many people around the world have come together to show their acknowledgement and support for the people of Ukraine. We have come across Ukrainian flags all over the Baltics, France, in San Francisco, in Poland, and Slovakia. We are yet to spot a signal of support for Ukraine in Serbia.
Let's celebrate Lauki.
While we traveled during the summer, he stayed at our home in Jurmala with his sister.
Yes, his sister (and her humans, of course). By chance, one day, Ash had spotted a dog on the streets of Riga that looked just like Lauki. One thing led to another and, soon after, we had discovered Lauki's sister and her very kind owners. We struck up a friendship and set up some meetings for Lauki and his sister. Then, when we left for the summer, our new friends stayed in our home and Lauki got to spend the entire month (or more) with his sister. The photos below celebrate his time with his sis, but also with his best friend, Lilu.
