Merry Christmas from Riga!

It has been a busy lead up to Christmas day with the boys taking part in several Christmas concerts including one at the Riga Town Hall at the annual Christmas Bazaar, and lots of shopping in Riga's Christmas markets. Merry Christmas from our favorite, old-fashioned Christmas city!

Snowboarding and Sledding!

With a few days of perfect, white snow falling, Christmas Eve felt like the perfect day to go snowboarding and sledding for the afternoon. There are two ski "resorts" within 45 minutes of Riga. Last year, we tried Milzkalns so yesterday, we decided to give the more popular Riekstukalns, Nut Mountain, for an afternoon of speedy runs! Beyond all the action on the slopes, the highlight of the day was being in the beautiful pine forest after a fresh snow.
