Preparing for the New Year

It's New Year's Eve and we are thinking ahead but also looking back on this past year. If the New Year can bring some more relaxing and meaningful family time like we've had this past week at the cabin, then we have a wonderful 2015 to look forward to.

 

Snow!

One of the best parts of our winter visits to the cabin is waking up on the morning after a snowstorm. This morning was one of those mornings and... we immediately got the sleds out again for another go at it.  Fun, but so cold!

 

Rai is 68 Months Old!

Compassionate. Bright. Loving. That's Rai at 68 months. Happy birthday, Rai. We love you so much!

Kotaru is 50 Months Old!

Just look at that look in his eyes and you'll know all you need to know about our little, Ko. Passion. Fire. Gumption. That's Kotaru. Happy 50th, Ko. We love you so much!

Dress Rehearsal

Let's say it one more time:  Rai and Ko take their performances very, very seriously. Tonight, they'll have a friend over for dinner at the cabin and they've been planning and rehearsing all day long for the performance they will put on after dinner. The costumes are ready, the stage is set, the spotlights are ready on the stairs, and even the concession area is prepared. This is serious.

Puzzle Mania

It has been a non-stop puzzle and board game fest here at the cabin for the past two days. And, after all that fun, we even had dinner set and prepared for us by the boys. If you know our boys, you know there were some performances thrown in there, too. The good life? Definitely.

 

Sledding

Since we wished everyone happy sledding this holiday season, we had to get out there and do some ourselves. It was tough with just an inch of snow on the ground at the cabin but, somehow, we made it work.

Santa visits 458 40th. The Wu clan assembles. And, we're back at the cabin. Christmas is here again!
