Sunday Streets - The Hallowe'en Edition

This past Sunday, a long stretch of Clement and Arguello were closed for the monthly "Sunday Streets" event. This was the first time that the Inner Richmond hosted the event and, if the number of people out biking, walking, dancing, and hanging around is any indication, it seemed to be a big success. Of course, just a week from Hallowe'en, the event ended up being a great excuse to dress in costume. Of course, it doesn't take much to convince San Franciscans to dress up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Getting Ready for Hallowe'en

In the last few years, it seems that our Hallowe'en preparations began weeks before. This year, the "season" has begun a bit later for us, but we still have a great week ahead of us. It all began with the Scare Grove festivities at Stern Grove on Friday night. Just as last year, Rai was enthralled by the performances on stage. His memory is so acute that he remembered every act from last year's event so it was a good thing that many of the same performers had returned this year. He like seeing them again. Meanwhile, Ko enjoyed the hayride with Ashe. By the end of the evening, they were dancing by the stage and on the stage with Unique Derrique who put on a show that pleased all the little ones.
