Liepaja

On the coast, not far from Kuldiga is Latvia's capital of alternative culture, it's music capital, it's third largest city: Liepaja. And, it was our Sunday for my birthday weekend trip.

Abava River Valley

Optimistically called the "Switzerland of Latvia", the Abava River Valley is not quite that, but definitely is one of the nices regions of the country. At the heart of it, the town of Kuldiga is one of the prettiest towns we've seen and certainly a great place to spend my birthday!
