Now that we have just 6 weeks left in Singapore, we are more inspired to visit those last few sites on the island that we haven't yet made it to. We've been diligent about exploring all of Singapore so our list is short but there are still places we've had on our wishlist for quite some time. Yesterday, we visited two of these places. The first was the Old Ford Factory, a 1926 Ford Motor Company Factory which produced the first Fords in all of South East Asia. This factory, however, is more famous for its place in World War II history. After a week long battle, the British conceded power over Singapore to the invading Japanese and the agreement was signed at this factory. Today, the factory is a museum chronicling the invasion of Singapore and life under the Japanese, five years of misery. Nearby, we took a walk in the Dairy Farm Nature Reserve, giving us the quiet trails that we needed to ponder all we had learned at the museum.

Happy 8th Birthday, Rai!
At 8, Rai is a wonderfully bright, inquisitive, passionate, and compassionate boy. We had a great family dinner out on Saturday night and then the party that everyone has been waiting for for weeks on Sunday afternoon! Happy birthday, Rai! We love you so, so much!
