Sledding in Sigulda!
One of the adventure activities in Latvia that we read about before moving here that has remained firmly on our Latvia bucket list is to ride the bodsled run in Sigulda. Sigulda's Olympic training track is open for amateurs to give bobsledding a try. In my books, this is an activity not to be missed. For the Sequoias, however, fear overtook the need for an adrenaline rush. They cheered me on but, unfortunately, did not join me on the run. The 65km/h we reached and more frightening than expected high turns would have been too much for the boys. We did all hit the slopes together following the bobsleigh run. Sledding in Sigulda was fantastic and finishing with dinner at the very quiet Krimulda Manor across the river made for the perfect end to a wonderful day out!
