Reflections at Bukit Chandu and the NUS Museum
One afternoon, on my bike ride home from school, I took a detour along the ridge to visit Reflections at Bukit Chandu, a memorial to an important WWII battle, and further along the ridge, on the National University of Singapore Campus, the NUS Museum with its small but excellent collection!
Singapore Discovery Center
One of the few museums remaining on our list of Singapore museums to visit was the Singapore Discovery Center and we didn't quite know what to expect from this one. Part science and innovation, part history, this is an eclectic place which seems to be more of a Singapore propaganda showcase than a museum. While we were there, we saw at least six groups of Singapore Army recruits being taken through the space. Still, as always, we had a good time and left, unsurprisingly, just a little more patriotic...
Saying Goodbye to our Monkeys
We've seen the Macritchie monkeys so many times now that we feel like we know them so now that we're preparing to leave Singapore, we had to visit them one last time to say goodbye. It was exciting to see that Spring had brought some additions to their family. There were a handful of very young monkeys with the pack, all of them playfully climbing the trees, jumping around, and chasing each other. Goodbye monkeys, we will miss you!
