Thanks to an
amazing holiday countdown calendar that Grandma and Grandpa put together, Rai and
Kotaru are aware of the approach of Christmas much more so than they were last year. Every day, they find the date, and detach a tiny, little sack with their name on it from the calendar and reach inside to find a small toy or special treat. The Christmas countdown is on and a day does not go by without us talking about Santa Claus and his imminent arrival. Both Rai and Ko really want to know if Santa will once again be able to visit Grandma and Grandpa's home on Christmas Eve. Until that special night, though, we will keep reading our "Santa Claus is Coming to San Francisco" book to the boys, hoping that the real Santa doesn't get lost in the fog as does the Santa in the book. Ko pointed out, however, that even in the darkest night, and the thickest fog, there is no way that Santa could miss the "Gate" to our wonderful City by the Bay!
