This summer, with another heat wave striking Europe, we decided on a vacation that focused on the mountains. We would begin with 2 weeks as a family in Austria with 3 days in Vienna with Bart and his family. Then, once Ash and the boys went home to San Francisco, I would join Bart and the family, again, for another week of hiking in Austria. Finally, after parting with them, I would be on my own (with Lauki, of course) for another week or two hiking in Switzerland.
