Still close to Liechtenstein, I did my second hike in Switzerland near the town of Appenzell. Skipping the Ebenalp gondola, I hiked up to the ridge, starting early, and enjoyed the incredible views along the ridge and cliff face. On the way down, the loop took me past a cliffside church and guesthouse hanging from the cliff and the nearly perfect alpine lake, Seealpsee.
