Picnic in the Park

Rai, you can't even know how many times the following words came out of our mouths while we prepared for your arrival: "Can't wait to bring Rai here to lay in the grass and have a picnic!" Your Mom or I would say that every single time we were in a city park or somewhere out on of our many 'favorite' hikes in the Bay Area.
We just couldn't wait for the day to come when we could lay out some blankets and spend a few hours or even an entire afternoon laying around and playing with you. Today, we had one of those afternoons in Sutro Park. Mom fell asleep and I read the latest Batman adventure to you. Today you learned that Bruce Wayne has died and that the the original Robin is now the new Batman. This is a sad but exciting time to be reading the Batbooks so you arrived at a critical time in the Bat mythology.
We're sure that this summer will be filled with afternoon picnics in the park like this one and we know that you're as happy as we are about that because you were really excited and happy on that blanket in the park this afternoon!
