Serbia's big city in the southeast is Nis. It's not super nis, but it is certainly fine.
The highlight for us, definitely, was visiting the Bubanj Memorial, one of many such Yugoslav era memorials across Serbia. At the site of a WWII German concentration camp, three giant fists, one a woman's, one a man's, and one a child's rise in defiance to German occupation.
