Slovenia has just a tiny stretch of the Adriatic coast, maybe 20 kilometers in length, tucked in between Trieste in Italy to the north and the long, Croatian coast to the south. Along that coast, they are blessed with a few historic, walled cities, one being Piran and another Koper. Inland, we visited the ancient, fortified church in Hrastovlje with it's infamous depiction of the Dance Macabre. We felt love, we felt Slovenia.
