dusty, within 10 miles of Markleeville town during this visit to the cabin. Today, we tried our luck on Airport Road which runs past the local airstrip and brings one to the Indian Creek Reservoir. The scenery here, in the Sierra foothills that drop into Nevada, is much different than the scenery we're used to in this area. Still, it's good to know that a calm and shallow body of water like this one lies so near in case we ever want to go for a quick swim on a hot, summer day.
