How to Stay Warm at the Cabin in Winter: A How-To Guide

At the cabin, we not only had to find creative uses for the sled, but we also had to find different ways to stay warm. It was the beginning of winter in the Sierra, after all.

Toques and hats were essential for keeping warm indoors and outdoors.
Getting bundled up in big coats also helped you keep warm even though you put up a fight whenever we tried to cover you in all those layers.
On the longest of walks and coldest of days, we'd put you in that one-piece snowsuit that renders you completely immobile. You love that, right?
Oh, and don't forget those great snow boots that your Grandma found for you. Keep those feet warm while looking stylish.

A blanket, too, was essential when we took you out in that sled of yours. Comfortable and warm!
But, still, the best way to stay warm when we went out into that winter wonderland was to visit Grover Hotsprings just 10-minutes walk from the cabin.

After all that, we found that the best ways to keep warm were indoors. Delicious home-made soups hauled in by Grandma all the way from San Francisco. Reading a good graphic novel together while sitting by the fire. Dancing to Grandpa's selection in the cd player.
Oh, is it snowing outside? We wouldn't know.
