The ArtScience Museum and the Marina Bay Sands Skypark
I'm not sure how it all went down, but it looks like when the Government of Singapore granted the Sands
Casino and Resort the right to build in Singapore, they added a few requirements to the project; if you're going to build a casino in our town, you also have to build a park (ie: the Super Tree Grove and the two amazing conservatories) and don't forget to contribute to our city culturally, too (ie: the ArtScience Museum). Today, we visited the iconic, lotus-shaped Museum and were very impressed by the building and exhibits. What was to be a relatively quick afternoon visit turned into nearly 6 hours at the museum so we decided to follow that up with a sunset visit to the Skypark at the Marina Bay Sands hotel. We paid a lot for that view, but it's one of those "we've gotta do it at least once" kind of places. Unfortunately, the famous infinity pool on top is for hotel guests only. One day...
