After a long day of riding with the
moving guys, picking up and loading furniture that Ashe had 
bought from folks strategically planted along our travel route from way out in the suburbs of Singapore to the heart of Orchard Road, we officially moved into our new home in Elizabeth Heights on Cairnhill Road, just a block or two from Orchard Road. Wow. We're here and loving our new location. Of course, before leaving our temporary home, Ko did a thorough cleaning. Here's what our new place looks like. Interior photos to come when Ash is satisfied with the decor. We and the boys are very happy to be here. If the interior of the apartment gets boring, there's always the swimming pool, or the tennis court, or the squash court, or the gym, or the 
playground, or the views of some pretty cool condos from our balcony, or a walk down to Orchard Road in the evening when everything is all lit up, or just a ride up and down to the 16th floor in the glass elevator (the boys will never tire of this!). It's nice and quiet too, and all we can hear when our balcony door s are wide open is the sound of the waterfall. Sure, it's a fake waterfall at the condo complex next door, but the sound of water falling can't be beat. And, what's that smell? Oh, its durian! Some one in the building (it could've been anywhere -- durian is very pungent!) was cutting some up today. It may be forbidden on public transit (with the fine amount left mysteriously blank) but it's fair game here. We will enjoy this kind of living while we've got it because we certainly can't afford this kind of place back home.
