A Day for the Boys
Rai and Ko have been hot and tired lately. Bali had super pleasant weather so it was a bit of a shock
to return to hot and sticky Singapore. We had to get used to the heat all over again. Even our brand new, fancy Vornado fans were not enough to help the boys sleep well at night. With them getting more and more cranky by the day, we needed to step up and fix the problem. I began by getting a couple more small fans and attaching one to the head of each of their beds, McGyver-style. With this new contraption, they slept better than ever last night. Meanwhile, Ash went on the online hunt for LEGO and found someone who was selling two giant tubs of LEGO. When I got home with the fans, I was also carrying a giant IKEA bag full of LEGO. The boys are in LEGO heaven. This is probably more LEGO than they've ever seen and there are so many great pieces and figures. And, they get to play with it totally naked -- it can't get better than this! Then, in the evening, we went for a nice walk by the river, visited the great Woods in the Books children's bookstore where they each picked out a book, and finished with a really nice dinner at the Real Foods Cafe (oh, I guess it was a day for Ash, too!) and ice cream at Honey Creme. It was truly a boys' day and there's still another one to come: we will visit Legoland later this week...
