Yosemite - 3 Days of Life in Nature

It's been a long time since we've been camping (last summer in Japan was the last time) so we almost forgot how nice it is to set up a temporary home in nature. We didn't exactly bring our own tent to Yosemite but did the next best thing: we stayed in Curry Village, a huge community of permanent canvas tent cabins.
As usual, Rai enjoyed the routine that was our life in Yosemite's incredible nature. We would begin with breakfast out of our bear box right outside our tent door, then Rai would do his morning walking and talking on the bear box. Later, with the rest of the family, we would go out for a day of hiking and sightseeing in the Park. We would return for dinner (out of the bear box again) and watch as the orange of the setting sun moved up and up the astonishly high granite cliffs that tower over Curry Village. If Rai was lucky, we'd finish with a bath in the cooler (now an out-of-the-city tradition).
We bought an annual pass for Yosemite in order to guarantee that it won't be another 5 years before we return to this wonderful place. Next time we'll camp for real so we won't have to deal with the sounds of two thousand other villagers passing through the unsound-proof walls of our tent cabin. Life amongst the trees? Perfect.
