The Good Life

For a while, it seemed like you were getting tired of lying around all day. You were restless. You pedaled your legs and shook your arms wildly as if telling us: "Get me out of here! I want to move around! How would you feel if someone put you on your back and you couldn't get up?"
Lately, though, it seems that you've started to enjoy the sedentary life once again. With your muscles strengthening and an ability to stand and take steps when supported, it's like you've realized that, as Peter Parker's Uncle Ben put it best, with great power comes great responsibility. Or, in your case, with mobility comes great responsibility. It's true, it's like you read our thoughts. I've just been waiting for you to start walking around so that you can begin to pull your weight around here. There's a long list of chores awaiting you the day you master the clasping reflex and are able to move from point A to point B.
So, with the weight of toddler responsibilities bearing down on you, you've succumbed to the siren song of the blanket and pillow once again. A warm bottle of milk, a soft blankie, an empty calendar... could life get any better?
Yesterday, you communicated your new commitment to a life of leisure as best you could in that non-verbal way of yours. You tossed your bottle aside, tore off your pants, laid back, gave a big stretch, and fell asleep. Okay, we get the point, Rai.
