Kemeri National Park

Just 30 kilometers away, Kemeri National Park is the closest to us and protects a large area of coastal beaches and inland moors. Now that we have our new car, this was an easy first trip for us and the beauty of the park, particularly the solitude of the moorlands, is something that will bring us back often. We began with the old village of Kemeri whose sulphur springs began the spa movement in Jurmala. After that, we walked the bog boardwalk and finished the day with a fire on the beach. Perfect day out? As close as it gets.
