Between the "heel" and the "toe" of the boot is the tiny province of Basilicata. Here, I spent a day in it's incredible capital, Matera. This amazing city was recognized in the mainstream after it was used as an unforgettable setting in the 2021 James Bond movie "No Time to Die". This was a place that I could have spent many days in but, alas, one day it was, before moving on to the ghost town of Craco. And, that was it for this province.
