Belgrade is changing right before our eyes. The riverfront area between our neighborhood and the city center is in a rapid state of development. This transformation, however, is highly controversial. Most of the investment is coming from the UAE and locals are not too happy about it. Still, every city must grow and modernization helps. For us, personally, the main benefit is that the waterfront promenade has been well-developed and offers us a beautifully smooth bike path all the way into the city, around the fortress, and beyond. It's so smooth, too, that it is also perfect for my electric longboard. So much fun!
