Summer in Australia - Days 30, 31, and 32: Coastal Living

Nearly 600 kilometers of sparsley populated, beautiful coastline separate Sydney and Coffs Harbour to the north. We loved Sydney but, after 5 days in the "big city" we were ready for some more of what this trip is all about: space and nature. Over these three days, we followed a beautiful coastal route that included the giant shifting sand dunes north of Port Stephens (a trip highlight for all of us), the amazing roads through the Mungo Brush and Myall Lake National Park, the best beach we've yet seen -- Lighthouse Beach at Seal Rocks, thousands of bats at Port Macquarie, isolated beaches at Hat Head National Park, and the painted rocks at Nambucca Heads. These three days were classic road trip material and we loved every minute of it!
