Summer in Australia - Day 28: The South Harbour

Before coming to Sydney, we didn't know that the city itself lies 12 km. inland from the mouth of the harbour on the ocean. This long, deep canal is what makes this one of the greatest natural harbours in the world. Today, both the north and south side of the long approach is filled with coves, towns, and beaches -- great for exploring! On this day, we explored the south harbour, beginning at the famous Bondi Beach and working our way back towards the city.
