Facepaint!

It may be hard to believe, but Rai has never had his face painted before! He's had the opportunity many times but, being the cautious fellow that he is, he often needs a little bit of time to warm up to new people and someone pointing a paintbrush at his face needs even more time to befriend Rai. Lucky for us, at the annual Storytime in the Park event at the Markleeville Library this past weekend, the facepainter was Lisa the Librarian, one of Rai's favorite people. From the many constellations available from which to choose, Rai chose Draco the Dragon. He looked great!
Meanwhile, the dog show on stage was immensely entertaining, not because the dogs were so well trained but the opposite. Their reluctance to do what their trainers requested was comedy at its best and when one of them ran out into the crowd to steal food right off of someone's plate -- well, that was just priceless!
