While at 18th and Dolores the other day, we came across the annual 'Party on Block 18' event. We
try to attend as many of the dozens of street fairs that take place in the city as we can. Many of the street fairs are hard to differentiate from one another as they have the same row of vendors and food stalls up and down the block. The Party on Block 18 was refreshingly different. It didn't have the feeling of a managed event. It felt local, it felt like an authentic gathering of the community. We hope that this is not just because this is a relatively new event. Only time will tell.
