Kirby Cove

A few weeks ago, we heard about a place called Kirby Cove for the first time. We pride ourselves in our knowledge of the Bay Area's best natural spots and hiking areas so we were surprised to find out that this beach and campground just minutes across the Golden Gate Bridge were unknown to us.
Today, we headed into Marin. All our favorite spots were far enough to test your patience a bit too much, Rai (you're not the most patient passenger these days) so we decided to drive down to check out this mysterious Kirby Cove.
What we found was an amazing spot. Hidden away and densely wooded, the cove is an incredible place just beyond the northern foot of the Golden Gate Bridge. Laying on the beach, it was odd to see the skyline so close yet to feel so far from the city.
