A little known fact about Singapore is that the two brothers who co-created Tiger Balm were Singaporeans. Their business success inspired philanthropy of an obscure kind. They established gardens at their villa which depict scenes from famous Chinese folk tales. Today, the gardens and their colorful displays are a public space worth visiting in Singapore's south west. Nearby West Coast Park ain't so bad, either!
