Just a 5-minute bus ride or a 10-15 minute scooter and skateboard ride from our place are the Botanic Gardens, Singapore's premier park. Founded during the British Colonial era, the gardens collect flora from all over Asia. They also house the incredible National Orchid Gardens. The Gardens' historic relevance and the abundance of plants represented have earned it UNESCO World Heritage Site status. For us, though, it's the closest park, a place to take a walk or ride at the end of the day. The boys and I have had some great visits lately!
