One of the best places to go skateboarding in S.F. is Justin Herman Plaza along the Embarcadero. Right in
front of the Ferry Building, it's a giant plaza of tile and concrete -- a skater's dream. For the novice like me, it's one big, smooth surface free of car traffic. For the more advanced skater, there's lots of stairs, rails and blocks. We saw some real pros doing some incredible stuff there this weekend. I was content just grabbing Rai and Ko and having them take their first ride on the skateboard with me.
