No visit to the cabin, even these shorter visits, would be complete without a day trip to South Lake Tahoe.
And, while visiting, there are those few places we must see. Some are closed for the season, but we did make it to the Tallac Historic Site, to Grass Roots grocery, to the Library, and to both Sprouts and Blue Angel restaurants. We were reminded just how small the community is here when, while at the Blue Angel, the same friendly waitress we always see there, was there to help us and two tables were occupied by the same couples we saw there when we last visited 3 months ago. The world may be big, but South Lake Tahoe is small.
