Discovering More of Markleeville Creek

My rafting adventure down Markleeville Creek made me realize that this a great, meandering creek with lots to see along it's banks. With that in mind, we decided to follow the creek from our cabin to the campground up the road. We've never walked this part of the creek before. Usually, we'll take the road or forest trail up the valley. This time, we hiked along the south bank, crossed at the campground bridge, returned along the north bank, and crossed back to our side using a fallen tree. It was great to do a more "wild" hike, making our own trail and discovering little beaches and swimming holes along the way!
