Yesterday, we attended the wedding of our good friends Kate and Neil. We met them several years ago outside a museum in Luang Prabang, Laos. Here were Canadians (and one wishing she was) backpacking through South East Asia while wearing Sunday Afternoon hats (and one wishing she was). Naturally, we hit it off immediately. The fact that they were headed to 
Berkeley for their PhD studies made this friendship an even easier one. It was wonderful to join them on this important day in their already decade-long love story. Congratulations, Neil and Kate!
