In with the Rain, Out with the Sun

Yesterday, Rai, your Aunt Kate and Uncle Neil came by for a long-awaited visit. As the first of the winter rains rolled in from the east, so did they, crossing the Bay from Berkeley.
As always, they did not arrive empty-handed. This time, it was a gift for you: a wonderful wooden, storage box. From the look of it, it's clear that it was hand-crafted. We had no idea that Neil is an aspiring carpenter. On the side of the box, are etched the words "Sequoia Grove" and on top, an image of sequoia trees.
When you learn the phrase "thank you" you owe Uncle Neil and Aunt Kate a big thank you for this gift. One day, when you're in school, you'll have the coolest, large-size, wooden pencil case with slide-away lid!
And, as quickly as they had stormed in with the rain clouds, they retreated away with the sun. As the sun set over the Pacific, you said your goodbyes to your generous (and handy) Auntie and Uncle. Let's hope they have some babies soon so that you too can grow up with some good friends like them.
