Meza Parks

Up in the northern suburbs of Riga is an area known as Meza Parks which, in the 19th century became the first planned suburb in Europe. Several hundred villas were built by the Germans during that time and today, it remains one of the most prestigious neighborhoods in the city. The forest park here is a massive recreation area with kilometers of paths and trails and a great little beach on the lake.
