Last year, there was so much snow and Spring runoff that Markleeville's creek was gushing all summer long. This year, little snow means a low and slow creek. I guess we won't be taking the raft down the creek again this year (that's probably a good thing) but we can still enjoy our beautiful walks along the creek. And, our walk yesterday reminded us that we don't have to go far at all (just minutes out the door with no car journey required) to make the boys happy. They could spend all day tossing pebbles into the creek.
