Trolley Dances 2011

After a year off, we attended the 8th Annual Trolley Dances this afternoon. Last year, Ko was just a week old when the event took place so we couldn't make it, but we vividly remember the show from 2 years ago when Rai was just half a year old and the year before that when this family was just two. The Trolley Dances are a showcase of some of the many dance troupes in San Francisco. The concept is simple: ride the streetcar, hop off to catch a dance performance, hop back on, hop off again to see another quick performance. This year, we took the M subway line from Civic Center to West Portal, watching 4 performances at each end of this journey. The set of performances was perfect: lots of variation in styles, music and themes. All the while, Rai and Ko behaved so well considering it was a 3 hour journey and, depending on the performance, the dancers mesmerized and thrilled our boys. Great fun!
