Family Bike Day

A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, I posted a story about our new Burley bike carriage. Back then, I boasted about how this carriage would allow us to take Rai out for bike rides at least 3 or 4 times each week. Well, here we are almost two years later and the Burley has been used only a handful of times. Yes, we have a excuses. First, Rai didn't like it too much. He cried a lot. Then, Ashe got pregnant so we didn't take our bikes out too much. Then, Ko was born and we had to wait until he was over 9 months old in order to get him into the carriage.
Today was the day that we dusted off the Burley and threw both boys into it. It was Family Bike Day in the Park sponsored by the Bike Coalition, a perfect opportunity to get the carriage hitched onto our bikes. Rai didn't cry. Ashe isn't pregnant (we think) and Ko is over 9 months old. The timing was perfect. What a ride! Now I can really say that the carriage will be coming out often, even if its just for a short ride up to the 22nd and Geary to get some groceries or if just means coasting down to the Park and finding a spot to lay down for a while and if Grandma could drop by every time with fresh strawberries from the farmers' market, we could take this ride every day instead of just every second day!
