Kotaru - 6 Months Old Today!

Today, little Ko turns 6 months old. How could our littlest boy have a half year behind him already? If we thought that time would slow with the second little one around, we were mistaken.
Before we know it, Ko will be in his early 20s and looking to find a place in this ever-changing and likely more challenging world. Today's babies may face a future that is not as welcoming and prosperous for all as this time has been for us. Ko is already well aware of that. He realizes that connections may be even more important for success in the economy of the future.
You may remember, a few years back, there was a bit of an internet craze surrounding the six degrees of separation principle as related to Kevin Bacon. Yes, Kevin Bacon the actor. As it turns out, there is no one in Hollywood that is separated by more than 6 people from Kevin Bacon. Effectively, Kevin Bacon was shown to be the center of the movie industry universe. Soon, that was extended beyond Hollywood, a board game was made, and Kevin Bacon ended up starting a non-profit organization (sixdegrees.org) which raises funds for important causes.
As Ko's 6 month birthday approached, we saw him considering the "six degrees of separation" principle himself. If he can just get himself connected to a bunch of major players within six degrees, then he can have a network to rely on when times get tough. And, who better to connect himself to than... Kevin Bacon! The image below shows that Ko, just like everyone in Hollywood, is within 6 degrees of Mr.Bacon.

A clear cut, 6 degree connection between Ko and Kevin Bacon. With ties like that, no matter what the future holds, Ko's future looks bright. It's nice to have it all figured out at the age of 6 months!
