Sting Like a Bee

Dad floats like a butterfly and Rai stings like a bee.
Dad, the butterfly, is pretty sensitive. Rai, the bee, knows exactly what to say to sting poor, sensitive Dad. While at the cabin, Rai insisted that he be carried around... everywhere. "Hold-e, hold-e, hold-e!" he would say and, how could we resist? While outside, the snow was something not to be touched. Rai just could not handle that cold, white, frozen water so we were doing a lot of "hold-e"-ing. Naturally, one is likely to fall while carrying someone else and walking on icy snow. Yes, I fell not once, but twice while walking with Rai. And Rai, the bee, will never let me forget it.
While in the cabin, every chance he got, Rai would point outside and remind me just what had happened out there.
"Snow! Daddy! Slip!"
Ouch -- that stings.
Thanks for that, my little bee.
Rai, would stand there, grinning and add another, "Daddy slip!", just for good measure.
The good news is that no matter how much that little bee stings at the delicate butterfly, we always make up in the end. The good times never end with our little Rai!
