Hot Soup and Library

One of the best things about being at the cabin is that our days are exponentially simpler than they are at home. Here in the mountains, we plan one (only one!) activity for each day. It can't get any simpler than that. In the winter, with many roads closed and hiking impossible, our list of potential activities is short: go to the hotsprings, go for a walk, or go to the library in Markleeville town. Each day, we'll do one of those and, if on really ambitious days, we may even do two of them. Of course, there's the time we spend in the cabin itself when we just sit around and watch little Ko sleep.
We're still trying to convince Rai that walks in the snow are fun but he's more than convinced that a visit to the library is a good time (this place is like his third home!) and as soon as we drive into the valley, we are guaranteed to hear "hot soup, hot soup, hot soup!" (Rai's very endearing attempt at "hotspring") So, today we may take a short drive and a walk and tomorrow, the big plan is to spend a couple hours in the hotspring...
