There aren't too many people who don't enjoy a little V.I.P. treatment even if just once in a while,
and Rai, you're getting an early start in the world of exclusivity. We are now Members at the Academy of Sciences. We may not know what benefits are attached to that title, but we do know that every time we visit, we can now enter via the
'Members' gate. Incredible. It almost feels like we're those people you often see skipping a line, those people who are ushered in ahead of everyone else by 6 foot 5 bouncers. There is no red carpet or bouncers at the Academy, but we do get to
walk right past the line at the General gate and walk right up to the Members gate where no line ever forms. Enjoy it while it lasts, Rai, this may not be something we'll have for ever. Still, once inside, you're just like the rest of the kids, no more special or privileged, more interested in the gift shop and it's cool sunglasses than in the museum itself!
