Mechanical Limbs

It doesn't seem that long ago that I was writing about the first efforts you made to reach out and grab objects in front of you. Your awareness of your hands began just a few months ago. Since then, you've come a long way. Your hands are no longer knobs at the end of your arms with which to bat at and occasionally grab things -- your hands are now the second most important tool with which you engage the world around you.
Your eyes are still number one. They are constantly searching, scanning and reading. Your ability to make conscious eye contact is fantastic! Your hands, however, have easily taken the number two spot in the past month. Not too long ago, like some carnival dart or ball throwing game, you would see only random success when grasping for things.
Now, that has all changed. You could put a carnival out of business. There's nothing random or uncertain and everything deliberate and planned about the motion of your hands. You'll grab anything within arm's reach and, more often than not, bring it to your mouth. Like a giant robot or construction machine, your hands are like claws ready to dig, scrape, drag and lift.
Your latest fascination has been with your feet. You're constantly playing with your toes and love grabbing both feet with your hands and making that V-shape with your body. Yoga anyone, you ask? I mean, with all this arm and hand co-ordination and strength, you've already got two asanas down perfectly: the boat pose and the cobra!
