Winter Holiday 2023 - Remnants of the Ottoman Empire

The most direct route back to Belgrade is through Bosnia and Hercegovina. That's the route we took, but we also took our time, stopping in Pocitelj, Blagaj, Mostar, Konjic, and Sarajevo. Then, rather than continuing along the direct route, we turned north and visited Travnik, Jajce, and in the very north, Banja Luka. It was amazing to discover and enjoy more of this country. Along the way, the diversity of the region was on display with much of Bosnia and Hercegovina retaining a great deal of its Ottoman heritage -- a complete change from the Croatian coast.
