'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, except maybe Lauki;
Not a creature was stirring, except maybe Lauki;
The stockings were hung by the Riga skyline with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
Rai and Kotaru were nestled all snug in their beds;
While visions of video games danced in their heads;
And mamma with her eye mask, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
But a package from Lisa and Grandma and Grandpa to follow,
A bundle of gifts they had sent us by mail,
Enough for under the tree and to fill our stockings as well
And giving a nod, by Zoom call we did see;
We could hear them exclaim, ere they logged out of sight—
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
Thank you Lisa, Grandma, and Grandpa for putting some gifts under our tree this year. We do appreciate you giving the boys something to anticipate and unwrap on Christmas morning! Thank you, too, Grandma and Grandpa for the special performance that you put together just for us. That was the best Zoom call that we've ever been part of! We hope that Rai's performance above is a bit of a re-gift of a Christmas performance for you...
Thank you, also, Dziadek (a.k.a. Santa) for helping us go back in time to Christmases past with the Flisak family by sharing your wonderful video!
