Despite its small size, Latvians are not all the same. Within the country, there are small regions, clusters of ethnic minorities, living in their historic lands. Once such group is the Suiti people, known for their kindness and hospitality. This tiny group, numbering only in the thousands, is centered at the town of Alsunga. One Sunday, we decided to explore the lands of the Suiti, from Edoles to Alsunga and even as far out as the coast at Jurkalne.
